Commercial Development E.g. Improving the growth of Radio Shepton through your own expertise in commercial development. You may have already helped another radio station to grow or your may have developed your own business. Alternatively you may have had a senior role in commer
Computers and Technology E.g. Assisting the team in operating the software (radio.co, volunteermakers) and hardware (Mac and Tascam). Being at the end of the phone if a volunteer needs technical support.
Design E.g. Offering design advice and suggestions and supporting other Designers to ensure that Radio Shepton not only sounds good, but looks good too! Graphic design would be a distinct advantage.
Teaching and Training Radio Skills E.g. Providing a point of contact and all necessary training of newcomers to Radio Shepton. Making supporting material for remote training on a need to know basis.
Archiving E.g. Archiving and auditing the archive of radio shows, both for Radio Shepton DJ\'s and non Radio Shepton DJ\'s and organising back-up systems to ensure full retrieval is possible in the event of an emergency. Writing procedures for the role and
Copywriting E.g. Producing and auditing high quality site copy for Radio Shepton\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s website and social media.
Illustration E.g. Offering illustration advice and suggestions and supporting other Designers to ensure that Radio Shepton not only sounds good, but looks good too! Graphic design would be a distinct advantage.
Event Stewarding E.g. Wearing Radio Shepton branded stewarding gear to ensure you are recognised and supporting the event venues in ensuring that attendees are able to enjoy events easily and safely. Receiving training where necessary.
Fundraising Administration E.g. Registering us as a registered charity when the time arrives and managing all stages of the process. Applying for various grants and bursaries.\\r\\nOrganising abseiling, prison breaks, car park climbs, zip wire challenges..... or a bingo night at th
Languages E.g. Translating websites or programmes into other languages and liaising with predominant ethnic minorities within the town to ensure that there is inclusion.
Money Handling E.g. Handling all money and liaising with Trustees. Being accountable for all funds that have been raised. Looking at systems for safety and well-being of people handling money.
Photography E.g. Taking photographs of various events, volunteers and guests and uploading them to a central database.
Project Management E.g. Managing and and all new initiatives or projects that Radio Shepton may get involved in. Suggesting suitable projects and providing the necessary details to ensure that all projects go via an approval system and have sufficient funding.
Social Media E.g. Creating, coordinating and maintaining social media accounts for Radio Shepton and maintaining the branding.
Web Development E.g. Creating and managing a public website for Radio Shepton that leads into https://radioshepton.volunteermakers.org. Liaising with the Programming Manager to ensure that the website reflects current timetable of shows and liaising with DJ\\\\\\\'s, cop
Working with Children 6 - 12yrs E.g. Working with young children aged 6-12 to bring Radio Shepton to their attention and liaise with schools and play groups to provide activities. Liaise with the Events Organiser and Project Manager to bring an event to fruition.
Working with Databases E.g. Familiarising Radio Shepton with the necessary actions to be compliant with GDPR regulations and building and maintaining adequate systems to ensure compliance at all times.
Working with Children aged 12-16 E.g. Working with young children aged 12-16 to bring Radio Shepton to their attention and liaise with schools and play groups to provide activities. Liaise with the Events Organiser and Project Manager to bring an event to fruition.
Radio DJ E.g. Creating and presenting a radio show using your existing experience of radio using the chosen software radio.co.
Radio Programmer E.g. Controlling the timetable for various radio shows and programming them into the planner to allow for fixed broadcasts such as news and weather to take place, and for auto DJ to cut in where necessary in a seamless fashion and be the main source of co
Awards and Recognition E.g. Applying for Awards and any other form of industry recognition. Liaising with all team members to include the best content in all applications.
Archiving E.g. Assisting in the archiving and auditing the archive of radio shows, both for Radio Shepton DJ\\\'s and non Radio Shepton DJ\\\'s and organising back-up systems to ensure full retrieval is possible in the event of an emergency.
Community Work E.g. Integrating Radio Shepton into the local community by using your existing community skills and enthusiasm.
Food & Beverage E.g. Making tea and coffee for an endless stream of volunteers and guests and wearing a smile at all times. Providing tea and coffee making facilities and managing a float. Reporting any profits to the finance person.

Learning and Education E.g. Liaising with Schools, Colleges and other educational groups to ensure that Radio Shepton benefits the town in providing learning opportunities for all ages.
Marketing and communications E.g. Ensuring that Radio Shepton reaches out globally, as well as locally by use of all forms of communication.
Visitor Service and Front of House E.g. Providing front of house services for visitors to Radio Shepton both in the studio and at public events.
